Job Description

Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Club , located in Seaside, CA , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Banquet Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour (Service Charges and Employee Meals included)
General Purpose:
Serves banquet function guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner ​ while creating memorable experiences ​ .
Essential Duties:
Prepares function site ​ s ​ ​ and ​ assures meeting room ​ s ​ ​ are ​ set according to specifications. Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines. ​ ​ Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas ​ ​ according to Banquet Event Order or as directed. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Attends and actively participates in pre-shift meetings ​ ​ ​ ​ c ommunicates ​ special ​ requests and concerns to the department manager ​ ​ Helps to maintain clean banquet ​ and ​ kitchen ​ areas ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Oversees all equipment with care. ​ ​ Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area. Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise. Incorporates safe ​ and sanitary ​ work practices ​ throughout ​ job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Maintains exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to employees, clients and vendors. Performs other duties as required. ​ ​
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and ​ ​ training ​ ​
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally ​ works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. ​
Certificates/Licenses:
​ ​ ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent. ​
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
