Ice Cream Server at Tahoe City Trailer

Overview This is a seasonal ice cream server job starting May 21-September 10 at out Ice Cream Trailer located in Tahoe City, CA. You are the face of Little Truckee Ice Creamery. If you enjoy working with others and have a customer first focus, creating happy customers, this job is for you. We are looking for upbeat, social, customer oriented and energetic servers. You will be overseeing the service area, which includes duties of customer service, credit and cash transaction and inventory management. Qualifications Must be able to work at least 3 days or more a week starting as soon as May 21, with some flexibility in start dates, through mid September. Must be able to work Labor Day weekend and 4th of July weekend. Must be able to work for either shift between 11:30 and 5:15pm or 5:00pm - 10:30pm Must have your own transportation (or have access to Tart Connect and live within 10 miles of Tahoe city) Must have or obtain a food handlers card (very easy and inexpensive to get online). Able to stand at counter for 5 plus hours and be able to scoop ice cream (yes, breaks are available) Be able to work the entire shift alone after training period. Be punctual, show up to work and ready to provide excellent customer service. Basics math skills and detailed oriented to handle cash transactions Be at least 16 years old by the hire date. Must have Excellent Conversational English Language skills Duties Pre-shift Service area setup(Inventory, Cash Reconciliation, Set-up) Customer Service (friendly, accommodating, and upbeat) Scooping Ice Cream to appropriate size Making Espresso shots

Stocking Ice Cream and Service Materials Cleaning:

Indoor Service Area, Outdoor Area, Dishes, Restrooms Keeping Trailer Organized and Clean Closing Procedures(Cash Reconciliation, Clean and shut down store front) Taking out Trash, Recycling, Sweep, Mop and Clean Service Area Shifts and Hours Available shifts and compensation: We are open 7 days a week with current available shifts on Wednesday through Sunday. Shifts are 11:30 am - 5:30pm or 5:00- 10:30 (9:30 in June and September) Benefits $17 an hour + Plus great tips. Discounts on (and some free) Ice Cream, Drinks and Baked Goods. Hourly Bonuses toward items that we sell.
