Schaffer's Mill is seeking a Server! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating Describe specials of the day to guests; answer questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions when appropriate Take food and beverage orders from guests and deliver food promptly after preparation Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests Maintain an organized workstation and side work duties Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale system Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders Follow established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques Practice tray service for all food and beverage service Incorporate safe work practices in job performance Regular and reliable attendance Perform other duties as required Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associate may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English) Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages Knowledge of POS system Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
