A Waiter or Waitress takes orders and serves food and beverages to customers in restaurants. Answers customer questions about menu items, prepares checks and collects payment, and assists with clearing dishes and tables. May work in banquet or dining halls.
As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for our guests. You will be responsible for assisting guests, ensuring their safety, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the park. This position requires excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
(Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to) Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all Elevate attractions. Must be able to stay focused and always remain courteous while enforcing attraction rules. Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment while making safety the number one priority. Take and fill food and beverage orders from guests; cooks and prepares food items; serves food in correct portions to ensure proper food cost. Maintains proper stock levels for all areas. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area. Must be able to obtain a California's Food Handler's certificate within the first thirty days of employment. This is a cash-handling position. Meet and greet guests entering and exiting Elevate with a smile. Explain various tickets, add-ons, and season pass purchase options and policies to give our guests the best value. This is a cash-handling position. Friendly, upbeat, and enthusiastic. Reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts. Must be able to speak, write, and understand English. Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor positions. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, and communicating with other team members and guests. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on park policies, safety procedures, and new offerings. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to be courteous and welcoming to guests. Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and communicate with other team members and guests. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, generally at waist level or below. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision and ability to adjust focus.
