Job Description

Please note that walk-in interviews are available every Wednesday to Friday between 3 PM and 5 PM. Job Summary The Counter Server is the face of Boul'Ange, warmly welcoming guests and providing exceptional counter service. This role focuses on creating a friendly, community-oriented atmosphere by engaging with customers, taking and serving food and beverage orders, and supporting teammates to ensure smooth operations. Counter Servers help foster a space where staff feel like family and guests feel at home. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties/Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with warmth and professionalism, building positive relationships with regulars and new visitors alike. Take food and beverage orders at the counter, input orders accurately into the POS system, and ensure smooth handoff to the kitchen. Prepare and serve beverages and menu items to guests at the counter or for takeaway. Answer questions about menu items, daily specials, and ingredients. Maintain a clean, organized counter and dining area, including bussing tables as needed. Support teammates by assisting with stocking, refilling condiments, and light prep or cleaning duties. Promote healthy team communication and collaboration to create a positive, family-style work environment. Handle payments and provide accurate change or receipts. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and ensure uniforms are clean, pressed, and presentable for every shift. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on hospitality. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying calm and friendly. Comfortable learning and operating POS systems. Collaborative spirit and willingness to support teammates. Education and Experience Must be at least 18 years old (21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages, if applicable). Previous café, bakery, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Must successfully complete the Boul'Ange training program. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a café setting.
