SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE A
Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests in a luxury hotel environment. The Server ensures that service standards are executed with precision, professionalism, and warmth while maintaining a deep knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and hotel amenities. This role plays a critical part in creating memorable guest experiences aligned with the brand's elevated service culture.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide attentive, personalized, and anticipatory service to all guests Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations. Take accurate orders and input them into the POS system in a timely manner. Serve food and beverages in accordance with luxury service standards. Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned section and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Process guest payments accurately and efficiently Comply with all health, safety and alcohol service regulations. Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive team environment. Collaborate with team members and provide lateral service to support overall operations. Follow directions from supervisors and maintain positive working relationships. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Previous serving experience in a luxury or upscale dining environment preferred Strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage service Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and guest service oreintaion. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry items up to 40lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to work under time pressure during peak service hours, including weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred. Must possess a valid California Food Handler Card or be able to obtain one within the required time frame.
