Job Description
ABOUT WELLNESS COUNTER
Wellness Counter is a refined Japanese restaurant on Pearl Street in Boulder — a sushi and chef's counter built around seasonal ingredients, precise technique, and warm, intentional hospitality. We are a small, growing team that values craftsmanship, consistency, and a calm, no-ego approach to service.THE ROLE
We are looking for Servers who lead with genuine hospitality and take pride in the details. You will guide guests through our food, sake, and cocktail offerings, set a gracious and composed tone in the room, and help deliver a dining experience that feels considered from the first greeting to the last goodbye.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Welcome and guide guests with warmth, knowledge, and attentiveness
- Confidently describe the menu, including raw fish, seasonal dishes, sake, and cocktails
- Manage your section with strong timing, communication, and attention to detail
- Partner closely with the kitchen, bar, and host team for seamless service
- Maintain cleanliness, setup, and service standards throughout the shift
- Enter orders and process payment accurately on our POS (Toast)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous full-service or fine-dining experience preferred; we are glad to develop the right person who brings strong hospitality instincts
- Genuine care for guests and a polished, composed presence
- Interest in Japanese cuisine, sake, and cocktails, or eagerness to learn
- Reliability, organization, and a team-first attitude
- Availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
COMPENSATION
- Base pay $17
- 20 plus tip-pool share; estimated total $30
- 42/hour based on experience and service volume
- This position participates in the restaurant's tip pool.
