Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Fine Dining Server to join our front-of-house team and deliver an outstanding guest experience in our intimate fine dining restaurant. As a key part of the guest experience, servers are responsible for guiding guests through their dining journey—from warm welcome and menu knowledge to impeccable service and thoughtful hospitality. This role requires a strong understanding of fine dining standards, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Provide exceptional, polished and personalised service throughout the entire guest experience. Welcome guests warmly and create a comfortable, memorable atmosphere. Guide guests through the tasting menu experience, explaining dishes, ingredients and preparation methods. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the restaurant's food, wine, cocktails and beverage offerings. Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally. Maintain a calm, confident and knowledgeable presence throughout service. Menu & Beverage Knowledge Maintain detailed knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation techniques and potential allergens. Understand wine pairings and beverage offerings, working closely with the Head of Beverage Programme. Participate in menu tastings, training sessions and ongoing education. Clearly communicate the restaurant's story, philosophy and connection to local ingredients. Service Standards Execute fine dining service standards, including proper table approach, pacing and guest interaction. Maintain awareness of timing and flow throughout the dining experience. Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and beverage team. Ensure all courses are served accurately and efficiently. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and address concerns professionally. Team Collaboration Work closely with servers, bartenders, chefs and management to deliver a seamless guest experience. Support fellow team members during busy services. Communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding guest requests, allergies and special occasions. Contribute positively to the restaurant culture. Qualifications Previous fine dining or upscale hospitality experience preferred. Strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage service. Experience with tasting menus or multi-course dining is an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to confidently explain dishes and interact with guests. Strong attention to detail and commitment to hospitality excellence. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude.
