Joy Hill is a locally owned and operated pizzeria in Denver, Colorado, specializing in wood-fired, naturally leavened pizzas crafted from organic, locally grown and milled heirloom wheat flours. Our full bar is influenced by Colorado-made spirits, local beer, and a natural & organic wine selection. Our service approach is rooted in being hospitable, creating a welcoming, inclusive, and personable experience for our guests. This opportunity is a part-time position that requires approximately 3-4 shifts per week. The pay rate is $16.27/hr + tip share.

Servers at Joy Hill are the heart of the guest experience. This role is responsible for delivering warm, knowledgeable, and highly attentive hospitality in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Servers are expected to guide guests through the menu with confidence, execute polished steps of service, maintain immaculate tables, and work collaboratively with the entire front-of-house team. Excellence, urgency, and genuine care for the guest experience are core expectations of this position.

ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service ExcellenceDeliver warm, inviting, and attentive hospitality to every guestGuide guests through menu offerings with confident recommendationsAnticipate guest needs and create a welcoming, unhurried dining experienceAccurately ring in orders using Toast POS, including modifiers and special requestsTable Maintenance & PresentationProperly preset and maintain tables according to Joy Hill standardsMaintain constant table awareness Maintain a clean, organized section, ensuring pre-bussing, clean tablesTeam Service & SupportRun food and beverages for teammates and assist teammates when neededPractice full hands in, full hands out and proactive teamworkCommunicate clearly and professionallyMenu, Beverage & Product KnowledgeMaintain strong knowledge of all menu offerings, including food, cocktail, beer, wine, and zero-proof beveragesStay current on specials, seasonal items, and 86 d itemsReview menu items as they come from the kitchen and bar for quality and accuracyOpening, Mid-shift, & Closing DutiesPrepare and detail assigned section prior to serviceMaintain side work throughout the shift. This includes, polishing, rolling silverware, wiping, restocking, sweepingComplete assigned cuts and closing side work and check off on side work sheetsSupport end-of-night cleaning, mopping, and station resetsQualificationsPrevious serving in a restaurant environment required Bartending experience a plus!
