Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and friendly Food Runner and Host to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. You will coordinate food delivery from the kitchen to tables, assist with seating arrangements, and support the overall flow of service to create memorable dining experiences. This tipped-wage position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a lively, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize the dining experience Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Support food safety and handling procedures during food running and serving activities Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Help with light food preparation tasks when needed, adhering to safe lifting practices and hygiene standards Provide exceptional in-person customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally Requirements Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with food handling and safety protocols essential Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and teamwork Experience with POS systems such as Squirrel is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards, food running, serving, and basic culinary or kitchen experience is a plus Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods in a fast-paced environment Hospitality or hotel experience is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for delivering excellent guest experiences is key Join us to be part of a historic venue where your energy and dedication will help create unforgettable moments for our guests!
