Job Overview:

As a Server at our family entertainment center, you will play a crucial role in creating enjoyable and memorable experiences for our guests. You will provide exceptional service, assist with food and beverage orders, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the center. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.

Responsibilities:

1.

Guest Service Excellence:

• Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist guests with menu recommendations, orders, and special requests, acting as their advocate for the duration of their time at the center.

Order Taking and Delivery:

• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently, paying special attention to allergen concerns and special requests.
• Serve orders promptly and accurately, ensuring dishes are presented according to established standards.

Menu Knowledge:

• Thoroughly understand the menu, including food and beverage selections and any limited-time offerings we may feature.
• Offer suggestions and answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients, including allergen-sensitive concerns.

Upselling and Cross-Selling:

• Utilize upselling techniques and table reading skills to offer additional items that complement guests' orders.
• Promote special offers, promotions, and add-ons from the menu; as well as center attractions outside the restaurant to enhance the dining experience.

Payment Processing:

• Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payment methods.
• Handle cash and change transactions responsibly and efficiently, always exhibiting integrity.

Cleanliness and Hygiene:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, serving stations, and dining areas by utilizing service steps fully and efficiently.
• When handling food and beverages, adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while paying special attention to any allergen issues presented by guests.

Customer Interaction:

• Engage with guests professionally and courteously, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests while joyfully displaying your own unique personality.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members across the center to ensure smooth service and an enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
• Communicate intentionally and effectively to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.

9.

Event/Recreation Area Support:

• Assist with event setup, serving, and cleanup during special events and parties.
• When assigned, serve in recreation areas carefully and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness in those respective areas.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a bartender, server, or food runner in a restaurant, hospitality, or entertainment setting is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a positive and friendly demeanor.
• Superb communication skills to interact with guests and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for accurate order processing and payment handling.
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings and willingness to learn about the menu.
• Schedule flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the family entertainment center.
• Willingness to work in various settings of the center, including but not limited to the restaurant/lounge, bowling lanes, bar, axe-throwing, and VIP/party/banquet rooms.
