Job Description
Part-Time Restaurant ServerJob Overview We are looking for an experienced and reliable Server to join our Japanese restaurant team. The ideal candidate should have previous restaurant serving experience and a basic understanding of Japanese food. Applicants should be familiar with common Japanese dishes and ingredients and be able to recognize basic types of fish, such as salmon and tuna. This position is primarily for Friday and Saturday evening shifts. Applicants must be available to work both Friday and Saturday nights. Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately. Enter orders correctly into the POS system. Answer basic questions about the menu and Japanese food. Serve food and beverages promptly. Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to their needs. Process cash and credit card payments accurately. Keep tables and dining areas clean and organized. Assist with bussing and resetting tables when needed. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and other team members. Provide attentive and courteous customer service. Requirements Previous restaurant server experience is required. Basic knowledge of Japanese food and common ingredients is required. Must be able to recognize common fish, including salmon and tuna. Must be available to work Friday and Saturday evening shifts. Experience using a POS system is preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
