Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction. Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to fine dining standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of guest relations. Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry. Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
