Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests feel welcomed and satisfied throughout their dining experience. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide recommendations for food and drink pairings, showcasing upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Assist with cash handling and basic math calculations during the payment process. Skills Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus. Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation methods. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately during cashiering duties. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry. Experience in guest relations, ensuring that all interactions are positive and memorable.
