Job Summary Chelsea Tavern is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused New American Restaurant Associate to support daily restaurant operations and help create a welcoming dining experience. This role assists with guest service, order taking, food and beverage service, cleanliness, restocking, and teamwork across the restaurant. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members. Assist with preparing and serving New American food and beverage items. Help deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately. Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options. Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed. Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces. Clear tables and reset dining areas for incoming guests. Restock food, beverages, utensils, napkins, packaging, and other service supplies. Assist kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy service periods. Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Help maintain consistent food presentation, order accuracy, and service quality. Communicate customer concerns, special requests, and operational issues to supervisors. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties. Help organize supplies and service areas to support efficient daily operations. Work collaboratively with coworkers to maintain smooth restaurant service. Perform other restaurant service and customer support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Willingness to learn restaurant procedures, menu items, and service standards. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits. Comfortable standing, walking, and performing hands-on restaurant tasks.
