Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all service standards are met. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in their selections. Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations and timely food preparation. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha, Micros, or OpenTable is advantageous. Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and sanitation standards is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
