Full Job Description Server Duties:

• Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
• Enter orders into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials
• Answer customer questions about the menu and make recommendations
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary
• Sanitize tables, chairs, menus, and other dining area surfaces regularly

Skills:

• Proficient in using OpenTable or similar reservation software
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation processes
• Ability to upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance the dining experience
• Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing
• Willingness to help coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong basic math skills for handling payments, making change, and calculating tips
• Culinary knowledge to answer customer questions about ingredients or dietary restrictions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
