THE ROLE
As a Server, you are the face of Meat Market. You own the guest experience at your tables - the greeting, the order, the pacing, the check - and you deliver it with energy, precision, and warmth. Whether you're leading a section or supporting one, your attention to detail and hospitality are what turn a good dining experience into an unforgettable one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Greet every guest warmly and make them feel welcome from the moment they sit Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them in our POS (Toast) Guide guests through the menu, specials, and wine and recommend with confidence to elevate their experience and grow the check Serve food and drinks with impeccable presentation, timing, and hospitality Follow all foodsafety, handling, and sanitation standards at every step Anticipate needs before they're asked the empty glass, the next course, the guest scanning the room and act on them Keep your section clean, reset, and running smoothly alongside your teammates Handle checks and cash transactions accurately and professionally Work as one team with front and back of house to keep service seamless
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous restaurant or foodservice experience; fine dining, upscale, or highvolume settings are a strong plus Experience with POS and reservation systems (we use Toast and OpenTable) Solid knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards Excellent time management and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced room Genuine, energetic hospitality and outstanding guestservice instincts A salesminded approach to menu knowledge and thoughtful upselling Confidence with cash handling and quick, accurate basic math A teamfirst attitude and a commitment to showing up polished and ready
