The Ice House Pub is a lively, high-volume, English-style neighborhood pub located in the heart of downtown Punta Gorda. Housed in a historic 1890s building, we are famous for our great beer selection, friendly crowd, and fantastic pub fare. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Food Runner/Expo to join our team for our busiest weekend shifts! [1, 2]

Job Summary:

As a Food Runner and Kitchen Expeditor, you are the crucial bridge between our kitchen staff and our guests. You will ensure that every plate leaves the kitchen line looking perfect, meets our exact specifications, and reaches our guests quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities:

Plate & Ticket Verification:

Match order tickets with prepared food items from the kitchen line; double-check plates for presentation, neatness, correct temperatures, and modifiers. [1, 2]

Food Delivery:

Deliver hot food and beverages from the kitchen straight to guests' tables in a friendly, timely manner. [1]

Team Collaboration:

Communicate clearly with back-of-house chefs and front-of-house servers to keep ticket times low and service flowing smoothly. [1, 2]

Table Maintenance:

Support our service team by assisting with clearing dishes, refilling water glasses, and keeping workstations well-stocked. [1]

Safety & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean, organized expo station and adhere to all food safety practices. [1]

Qualifications:

Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work every Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM . Ability to thrive and maintain a positive attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong communication skills and an excellent eye for detail. Physical capability to stand, walk, and carry heavy food trays continuously for a 4-hour shift. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate!
