Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a positive first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage tables effectively by coordinating with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests with enthusiasm and knowledge. Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods. Support sanitation efforts in compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment for all guests. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during night shifts or busy hours in lively nightclub settings or fine dining environments. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations quickly and effectively. Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or food handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for cash handling is essential. Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for supporting food preparation tasks when necessary.
