Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and provide attentive guest relations throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct processing of sales transactions Serve food and beverages—including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty drinks—while maintaining proper beverage service standards Upsell menu items and suggest wine pairings or specialty cocktails to enhance the dining experience and increase sales Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details, ingredients, and dietary accommodations to assist guests effectively Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and clearing tables (bussing) Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest needs effectively to ensure satisfaction Assist with host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries through reservation systems such as OpenTable Support team members by maintaining cleanliness of service areas, restocking supplies, and adhering to sanitation protocols Skills Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with excellent customer service skills Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage service standards Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and restaurant revenue Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous for understanding dishes served Excellent communication skills for guest interaction and teamwork within a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling procedures Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry Experience in serving alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal regulations regarding alcohol service Demonstrated ability to build rapport with guests through friendly engagement and attentive service Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication to hospitality creates unforgettable dining experiences.
