Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items by suggesting popular dishes, beverages, or specials to enhance the guest experience. Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and provide correct change using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously. Support food handling and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Contribute to a lively atmosphere in settings such as nightclubs or fine dining venues by providing exceptional service that encourages repeat visits. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Prior experience in serving roles such as host/hostess or bussing is advantageous. Culinary experience or kitchen background can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.
