Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met for all dishes and drinks. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance the guest experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including cash handling and inventory checks. Foster guest relations by providing attentive service that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Ability to upsell menu items confidently using beverage knowledge such as wine and spirits expertise. Culinary experience or food industry background that supports understanding of food preparation and presentation standards. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation.
