About Us Winter Park Racquet Club is a private, member-focused club known for warm hospitality, attentive service, and a high-quality dining experience. Our team takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for members and guests in both casual and upscale club settings. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, service-minded Server to support daily dining operations and club events. This role is responsible for delivering excellent service to members and guests through accurate order taking, food and beverage service, table maintenance, and strong teamwork with the front- and back-of-house staff. Compensation This is an hourly, non-tipped position. Compensation is paid on an hourly basis and does not include tips. Key Responsibilities Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner and create a welcoming dining experience. Present menus, answer questions, and communicate food and beverage offerings clearly. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter or relay them correctly. Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and according to club service standards. Monitor tables throughout service and anticipate member needs before being asked. Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve or report service concerns quickly. Maintain proper table settings and ensure dining areas remain clean, polished, and member-ready. Clear, reset, and turn tables efficiently while maintaining a high level of service. Run food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to the correct table quickly and accurately. Assist with water, bread, condiments, side items, and other table support during service. Support servers and managers during high-volume periods, events, and member functions. Prepare and restock service stations with ice, glassware, linens, silverware, and other necessary supplies. Assist with banquet, dining room, and special event set-up and breakdown as needed. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining rooms, patios, service stations, and back-of-house support areas. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members regarding timing, modifications, and member requests. Handle spills, broken service ware, and other service issues quickly and discreetly. Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions and follow club policies, grooming standards, and service expectations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth dining and event operations. Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, club, or food service experience preferred. Experience in upscale dining or a private club environment is a plus. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and professional appearance. Schedule Requirements Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to carry trays and lift or move up to 25-50 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive movement. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and in a fast-paced environment.
