Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as a Waiter or Waitress at Banana Wind Bar & Grill, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, and ensures every visit is exceptional. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Process cash, credit card transactions, and handle POS operations smoothly to ensure accurate billing Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge and spirits experience, to answer guest questions confidently Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining experience or in the food industry Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and basic math for processing transactions accurately Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is preferred Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting Join us at Banana Wind Bar & Grill where your passion for hospitality meets endless opportunities to grow!
