PRACTICAL SKILLS

Maintains high cleanliness and food safety standards Has a commanding knowledge of our food, beverage, and dessert menus Executes typical steps of dining service with the nuance and grace required by our guest's expectations given that we are a high-end, upper tier restaurant A strong understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, and other beverages Acts as part of our entire FOH team. Serves our guests on the Floor or Bar, as well as assisting with the door and support when necessary depending on position for the evening Learns and maintains our protocols and systems to ensure smooth service for the entire team and our guests Ensures guest satisfaction and upholding our high standards Provides our guests empathetic hospitality. Treats other team members with empathy and grace Punctuality, reliability, and attendance is a crucial element to this position Must be able to stand for 8 hours. Push, pull, lift up to 30 pounds, climb stairs, and carry items with both hands

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Is dependable: shows up to work consistently and reliably with minimal excuses and missed shifts. Is an excellent communicator of availability, schedule needs, tardiness, etc. Finds solutions when sick or requiring time off. Takes the initiative to find solutions for the dropped shift before coming to a supervisor about it. Willingness to help the team. Understands that we all need each other to be successful both for the evening's service as well as the big picture. Picks up shifts when others are sick, stays late to help when appropriate. Jumps in to help co-workers when they have a larger work load. Maintains a positive and professional behavior. Looks for and performs extra tasks during down time. Takes it upon themselves to clean not only their station, but common areas as well. Strives to reach ZZ & Simone's five goals, and contributes to a positive work environment for all. Handles disputes or conflict in a professional manner.
