Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Assist guests with menu selections, offering recommendations and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring complete satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols Support food preparation and kitchen staff as needed, including bussing tables and assisting with basic food prep when appropriate Use reservation management platforms like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours, including nightclubs or special events Uphold all food industry regulations related to health codes, sanitation, and safety guidelines Experience Candidates should possess previous restaurant experience with a focus on food service or hospitality roles. Experience working in fine dining environments or nightclubs is highly desirable. Familiarity with POS Toast preferred. Strong skills in customer service, upselling techniques, time management, and guest relations are essential for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, basic math proficiency for cashiering tasks, and a solid understanding of food safety standards. Previous host experience or serving roles that involved food handling, bussing tables, or managing guest interactions will be considered valuable assets. A background in the food industry, combined with culinary knowledge enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.
