Responsibilities Arrive on time in full uniform, neat and polished. Set tables with clean linens, polished silverware, glassware, and folded napkins. Assist with light cleaning (sweeping floors, wiping menus, checking restrooms for guest readiness). Confirm knowledge of reservations for the shift. Greet guests promptly with warmth and professionalism. Present menus, describe specials, and offer recommendations Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Serve beverages and courses in proper order with attention to timing. Check back after delivering food to ensure satisfaction. Maintain clean and orderly tables throughout the meal. Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and discretion. Process payments accurately, return change/receipts promptly. Reset tables with fresh linens, polished flatware, and clean glassware. Roll silverware or fold napkins as needed for the next shift. Clean and sanitize service areas, trays, and POS stations. Assist in sweeping/mopping floors, wiping down chairs and tables. Review the final side work checklist with the manager before leaving. Clock out only after approval from the manager or lead server. Qualifications Proven prior serving experience in a fine dining or upscale casual restaurant required (2+ years preferred). Proficiency in using POS systems, including Toast Knowledge of food safety and handling practices Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor. Experience in fine dining and banquet settings Strong basic math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with bussers, bartenders, runners, and kitchen staff.
