At Akami Sushi & Grill, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience with high-quality sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and professional team member with previous Japanese restaurant experience to join our team in a combined Host, Server, and Takeout role!

Key Responsibilities:

Host & Takeout Duties:

Warmly greet arriving guests, manage the waitlist, and seat guests. Answer phone calls promptly to take accurate takeout and phone orders. Carefully double-check orders and package takeout meals neatly and efficiently.

Server Duties:

Deliver exceptional customer service to dining guests. Accurately take food and beverage orders and process payments.

General Team Duties:

Maintain a clean, organized host stand, takeout station, and dining area. Communicate smoothly with front-of-house, kitchen, and sushi bar staff. Assist with daily opening, running, and closing procedures.

Requirements:

Previous server, host, or takeout experience in a Japanese restaurant required. Excellent communication, phone etiquette, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, dependable, detail-oriented, and punctual. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
