Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a warm, welcoming attitude. Your role is vital in creating memorable moments for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance, utilizing tools like OpenTable for reservations management. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation, adhering to food safety protocols. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries, addressing concerns with professionalism, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips. Assist with food handling, kitchen communication, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards. Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing waitlists and coordinating seating arrangements efficiently. Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, and restaurant policies to provide expert recommendations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours, including nightclub or special event settings. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to build rapport quickly. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining health regulations. Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations can be advantageous but is not mandatory. Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail. Serving or host/hostess experience demonstrates strong guest relations skills and familiarity with restaurant operations.
