Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections, including wine and spirits recommendations. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items, including specialty cocktails and premium spirits, to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, process payments, and provide change as needed. Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations; bus tables and reset for new guests efficiently. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, adhering to food safety standards. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and food pairings based on guest preferences. Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations throughout their visit. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of beverage service, including cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar platforms is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
