• Professionally serve fresh, nutritious meals to students and faculty
• Create a welcoming, positive, and efficient dining experience
• Follow portion control, presentation, and serving standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked serving stations
• Monitor food quality and notify kitchen leadership of any concerns
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures
• Assist with dining area setup, breakdown, and cleaning
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service
• Represent The School Gourmet with professionalism and integrity Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of customer service, hospitality, restaurant, cafeteria, school nutrition, or food service experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently during high-volume meal periods
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds Preferred Qualifications
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (preferred; certification may be required after hire if not currently certified)
• Experience working in K-12 schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, or institutional dining
• Experience serving high-volume meal programs
• Cash handling or point-of-sale experience is a plus (if applicable)

The School Gourmet is hiring 20+ team members across multiple departments. This opportunity is located at DeKalb Agricultural Technology & Environmental Academy in Decatur, Georgia. We're also expanding throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area , with multiple new positions becoming available as we continue to grow.
