In this dynamic role, you'll be the first to greet visitors, ensure smooth service flow, and assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. Duties Welcome guests warmly as the host/hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements with professionalism. Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service hours. Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic kitchen duties such as dishwashing and food handling. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and trash removal to uphold health standards. Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, providing information about menu items or restaurant policies. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy. Experience Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Familiarity with restaurant operations such as order taking, serving, and basic food safety practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in bussing and cleaning. Knowledge of beverage preparation, dishwashing procedures, and kitchen safety protocols enhances your effectiveness in this role.
