Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and friendly Server/Cashier to join our dynamic food service team. This role combines the excitement of providing exceptional guest experiences with the efficiency of managing transactions seamlessly. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will deliver outstanding customer service, handle food and beverage orders, and ensure smooth operations at the front of house. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, whether in a lively restaurant, upscale dining environment, or vibrant nightclub setting. Duties Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and relay orders to kitchen staff efficiently. Provide excellent guest service by answering questions about menu items, specials, and wine or cocktail pairings, utilizing OpenTable for reservations when needed. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS operations with precision while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist in food preparation or plating when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout their visit. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing and reservations management. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations, hospitality, and food handling are essential. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles provides a solid foundation for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling is required. Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus, supporting food preparation and understanding menu offerings. Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining professionalism is crucial for success in this role.
