Job Description

Overview A server at Red's Tavern is responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service in a casual tavern setting. The role blends classic restaurant service with bar‑style hospitality—meaning strong guest interaction, multitasking, and comfort working around alcohol service. This is a tipped position in addition to hourly wages. Servers must also be willing to work holidays and/or weekends depending on the need of business. Duties Guest Service — Greeting guests, taking orders, answering menu questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Order Management — Entering orders accurately, coordinating with kitchen/bar, and timing food/drink delivery. Food & Drink Running — Delivering plates, refilling drinks, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean section. Alcohol Service — Checking IDs, monitoring guest intoxication, and following state alcohol laws. Payment Handling — Presenting checks, processing payments, splitting bills, and balancing receipts. Side Work — Stocking stations, rolling silverware, cleaning, and closing/opening duties. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments Excellent customer service skills with a friendly Ability to upsell menu items confidently Culinary experience or kitchen background to better understand food preparation and presentation standards Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service periods Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; familiarity with food industry terminology is advantageous Join us to be part of an exciting environment where your energy makes a difference!
