Job Summary Join our vibrant school foodservice team as a Foodservice Server and Cashier! Duties Greet students and staff warmly, delivering exceptional customer service with a positive attitude Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Prepare simple food items following safety and sanitation standards, including assembling meals or snacks as needed Handle cash and card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math accuracy Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, serving counters, and dining spaces Assist with food handling tasks such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and managing food inventory Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while promoting healthy choices and meal options Requirements Prior experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a quick service & fast food restaurant setting Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a busy café or school cafeteria environment Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions Previous restaurant experience or culinary background is advantageous but not mandatory Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in serving and bussing This role is perfect for individuals passionate about food industry operations who thrive in energetic environments.
