Job Description

We are seeking dependable Illinois Process Servers for independent contractor opportunities throughout the state of Illinois, specifically in the Bloomington/Champaign area. This is field-based legal support work and is best suited for individuals who are organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
IMPORTANT
This is an Independent Contractor opportunity. Compensation is paid on a per-assignment basis, not an hourly wage. Actual compensation varies based on assignment type, location, urgency, difficulty, number of attempts required, and experience. Many assignments require multiple attempts before completion. Successful process servers understand that this work requires patience, persistence, communication, and accurate reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve legal documents in a designated area. Perform residential and business service attempts. Complete detailed status updates after each attempt. Prepare affidavits and service documentation. Follow assignment instructions and client requirements. Communicate professionally with recipients, and building staff. Maintain accurate records and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS PERC
Card Automobile Driver's License and Insurance Ability to work independently without supervision. Attention to detail and professional demeanor. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

BEFORE APPLYING

Assignments may require:
Multiple attempts. Morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Occasional Saturday attempts. Travel between locations. Detailed reporting. Working around access issues, evasive subjects, building restrictions, and difficult service situations. Rates range from 25.00 per completion of the assignment and requirements.
