Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders promptly to kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and give correct change. Maintain cleanliness of tables, bussing as needed, and ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed diligently. Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when required, demonstrating culinary awareness and teamwork. Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and manage waitlists effectively. Support guest needs during busy hours in environments such as nightclubs or casual dining settings, ensuring a lively yet professional atmosphere. Experience Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife venues. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Experience in serving, bussing tables, or hosting/hostess roles demonstrates strong guest service skills. Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is essential. Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy are necessary. Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.
