Job Description
Overview We are looking for an individual to perform both bartending and serving duties at our small-town and locally-owned bar and grill. The candidate must do well in fast-paced environments, thrive in a customer service setting, and work well as an individual and as part of a team. Must have reliable transportation and MUST be available consistently for nights and weekends. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist them with drink and food orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations on menu items. Prepare and serve beverages, and serve food, accurately using POS system. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change. Support food service operations by bussing tables, assisting with food preparation when needed, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols in accordance with health regulations to ensure guest safety. Skills Experience using a POS system is preferred. Experience in the food industry preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests positively. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
