Job Description

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to members and guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. This position represents Butterfield Country Club s commitment to excellence and hospitality, ensuring each member s dining experience exceeds expectations. The Server maintains knowledge of menu offerings, delivers accurate service, and upholds the Club s service standards at all times. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and Club events as needed.
Reports To:
Dining Room Manager and/or Assistant Clubhouse Manager(Also works closely with Food & Beverage Leadership)Essential FunctionsGreet members and guests promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system efficiently.

Serve meals and beverages according to Club standards, ensuring proper presentation and timing.

Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage selections to assist with recommendations.

Anticipate member and guest needs, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

Monitor tables throughout service, clearing and resetting as necessary to maintain cleanliness and flow.

Ensure all member charges and transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with Club policy.

Follow all opening, closing, and side work procedures as assigned.

Maintain communication with the kitchen and service team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Support team members by assisting with running food, bussing tables, and helping hosts as needed.

Maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain a neat and organized station and service area.

Cell phone use is not permitted in the presence of members or while on duty.

Assist in other assignments not included in Duties & Responsibilities as directed by management to support overall Club operations. QualificationsMinimum 2 year of serving experience; fine dining or private club experience preferred.

BASSET and Food Handler certifications required (Club may provide course if needed).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on member service.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol.

Proficient in POS systems and basic computer functions.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and Club events. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).Ability to carry trays and lift up to 40 lbs.

Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions required. Uniform & Appearance StandardsUniform provided by the Club must be clean and pressed at all times.

Shoes must be closed-toe and slip-resistant.

Personal appearance must reflect the professionalism and conservative standards of the Club.
