Job Description

Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Banquet Servers to join our dynamic team. As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests during various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. Your professionalism and attention to detail will ensure that every event runs smoothly and that guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. Duties
  • Sets tables with clean, polished silverware, glassware, and other China.
  • Set-up dining room, stocks side stations to club specifications
  • Performs assigned side (prep) work.
  • Ability to read a floor plan and distinguish which tables have been assigned.
  • Takes accurate food and beverage orders from the members and guests.
  • Enters accurate food and beverage orders in POS system.
  • Ensures correct member or guest is being billed accordingly.
  • Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages served with and after the meal.
  • Polishes silver service items.
  • Folds napkins and breadbasket linens for food service.
  • Always displays a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Removes all soiled dishes before the next course arrives.
  • Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish area when appropriate.
  • Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen when applicable.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, including dining table sections and side stations.
  • Dusts chairs before and after meals.
  • Cleans-up spills, broken service ware and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners.
  • Attending pre-service training.
  • Moves tables and chairs as needed for the next member and guest diners.
  • Able to perform basic beverage portering skills including knowing product name, flavor profiles.
  • Able to properly open and pour wine at the table to the members and guests.
  • Complies with basic safety and sanitation requirements.
  • General organizational skills.
  • Properly resets tables at end of shift for the next meal period.
  • Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
  • Helps to maintain a fully stocked buffet when applicable.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
  • Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Has general knowledge of the club's POS system or other comparable POS system.
  • Ability to work at large or small events with moderate to medium supervision and in a team environment.
  • Consistently follows local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Assists the management team and other employees in assuring that the club's policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
Requirements Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of banquet service procedures is a plus. Familiarity with food safety practices within the culinary industry. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
