Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Toast to process transactions swiftly and correctly. Provide detailed menu descriptions to assist guests in making informed choices. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation. Upsell menu items, including specialty drinks and desserts, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during food handling, serving, and cleaning duties. Handle cash transactions accurately, process credit card payments, and manage POS operations with efficiency. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues proactively. Maintain guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed during busy periods. Qualifications Prior food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred; but we are willing to train the right people. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is helpful, but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
