Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly attitude. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments. Upsell menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables as needed. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during food handling and serving. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly. Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up or cleaning service areas. Build rapport with guests through excellent guest relations, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is desirable. Demonstrated skills in beverage service, cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally. Ability to process cash transactions accurately while managing sales efficiently. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts. Basic math skills for order calculations and payment processing; familiarity with food industry terminology preferred. Hospitality background with experience in serving or host/hostess roles is advantageous. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
