Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Dining Room Server at Derailed, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively, upscale environment. As a vital part of our hospitality team, you will provide attentive, friendly service to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables efficiently and assisting with general sanitation practices Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties Provide exceptional guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or upscale venues Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and sales techniques including upselling Familiarity with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Experience working in nightclubs or similar lively environments is beneficial but not required Join us at Derailed where your enthusiasm for hospitality can shine!
