Responsibilities Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring timely delivery. Assist with food preparation and plating under the guidance of culinary staff to maintain quality standards. Clear and bus tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and organization in dining areas. Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while following safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and service areas regularly to uphold food safety standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order flow and guest needs. Provide excellent in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Skills Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments. Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and proper sanitation practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks such as carrying trays or supplies. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order management. Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and serve guests effectively. Experience with food running, serving, bussing tables, or banquet service is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of culinary techniques or kitchen experience is a plus for supporting food prep tasks.
