Job Description

Position Summary The Breakfast Lead Server is responsible for overseeing morning dining operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient breakfast service while also performing standard server duties. This includes leading pre-service setup, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, maintaining stock and cleanliness, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and leadership skills. Essential Functions Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and common allergens. Ensure all orders are accurate and modifications or substitutions are properly communicated. Lead pre-shift setup for the breakfast service, ensuring all necessary supplies and materials are ready. Stock all to-go materials. Stock condiments. Set up the kitchen line with essential sauces. Break down and discard all boxes appropriately; use trash compactor as needed. Ensure all silverware is rolled and ready before dinner service begins. Stock all glassware before dinner service. Pre-bus and reset tables promptly and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized dining room and server station at all times. Accurately process guest payments using POS systems. Complete all assigned opening and closing duties, including side work. Support and assist fellow servers and kitchen staff as needed. Monitor equipment functionality; report maintenance issues or supply shortages to management. Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in all areas. Follow company service standards and policies, including safety protocols. Work cooperatively with co-workers, kitchen, and management as a team leader. Take initiative to improve service standards and support operational goals. Ensure punctuality and reliability in all scheduled shifts. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. Skills and Abilities Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently. Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational. Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis. Safety requirements of PPE as needed for duty assigned and with use of required tools and equipment. Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state food safety guidelines.
Job Qualifications/Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
Additional:
