In this vital role, you will serve as the essential link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that food is delivered promptly and tables are maintained impeccably. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and hospitality operations. The best candidate for this job is someone in school looking for a weekend gig for a few hours a day. Responsibilities Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to tables efficiently, maintaining presentation quality and ensuring accuracy. Clear and reset tables quickly and thoroughly to prepare for new guests, maintaining cleanliness standards throughout service. Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and providing additional support as needed to enhance guest satisfaction. Support food safety protocols by handling dishes and utensils properly, adhering to hygiene standards at all times. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs of guests to ensure smooth service flow. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including side stations and service areas, to promote a safe and inviting environment. Skills Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with serving techniques, bussing, and basic food preparation is advantageous. Occasionally get ice or other items for the bar.
