Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as a host or hostess Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales and cash handling Provide beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating knowledge of drink recipes and presentation standards Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, dining spaces, and bar stations in accordance with food safety regulations Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed Manage guest inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations to ensure repeat visits Skills Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for seamless order processing and sales transactions Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables or tasks efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques Experience in fine dining or casual restaurant environments; nightclub experience is a plus Beverage expertise including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a hospitality setting is highly desirable Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members effectively Join our team where your enthusiasm fuels memorable guest experiences!
