Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on presentation and guest preferences. Upsell menu items, including specialty drinks or premium selections, to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities responsibly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly, managing guest relations professionally, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and positive communication. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately; familiarity with cash handling procedures is required. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn about food preparation is appreciated.
