Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and completeness Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and handling tips Upsell menu items, including specialty cocktails, wines, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and food pairings based on guest preferences and menu offerings Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary requests or allergies Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including food handling, sanitation procedures, and cash reconciliation Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, personalized interactions, and prompt resolution of any concerns Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing transactions and giving correct change Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred but not required Strong teamwork ethic combined with the ability to work independently when needed Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences in a lively environment where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
